What started out as just an interest in exploring the mountain down the street turned out to be a great way for the girl’s to get together, get some air and check out the great view at the top of our very own Cobble Hill Mountain.  Click on the Gallery to the right to view our photos. 

Our meeting time is promptly at 8:00am every Sunday morning. And of course Living on the island we endure a change in climate quite often, for this reason we are determined to head up the mountain during rain, shine or even snow! We meet in the main parking lot at the base of the mountain next to the new doggie park and head up as a group. And naturally our K9 counterparts are always welcome!

If you have been on the mountain before (or any mountain for that matter), you know that the only way up is up. I wish I could lie to you and say it’s flat as a pancake, but it’s not and it’s not generally for the weak of heart, however there are a variety of inclines and declines, and we choose a “switchback” style of hike giving ourselves a chance to recover, allowing us to persevere to the finish. We have various paces and abilities, so you will definately find a buddy that suits you within our group.  Click on the Hike link above to see all posts related to our hiking club!

Hiking Fieldtrips:

The last sunday of each month we take ourselves out of our comfort zone and have a ‘fieldtrip’ in another beautiful area offered by this island we call home. Our upcoming adventures can be found at Hiking Fieldtrips.

Yes of course you could hike solo – but why when you could come out with a group and meet some amazing gals! ;)
